Wedding dresses come in a huge variety of styles, fabrics and finishes. Some brides know what they want, others are uncertain. Try on several styles to find the dress that makes you look and feel exquisite! Go for it, try them all! Be open to suggestions!
Know your dress & accessories budget
Your fitting experience will be a little easier with a budget to guide your consultant in selecting wedding dresses for you. Also budget for accessories like your veil, shoes, jewellery, garter, undies and alterations. No definite budget? At least have a range within which you would like to spend.
Start looking early…
Imported bridal dresses take four to six months to arrive, so start trying on dresses eight or nine months before the big day. Alterations must start eight to nine weeks before your wedding – up to five fittings – leaving enough time for your dress to be perfected!

Don’t stress! There are always plenty of dresses available in-store that can be bought right away – no need to order. - You live far away from the bridal store?
Far-away brides also don’t need to stress. We will work out a fitting and alteration schedule to suit you! - Just you or the team?
Whether to fit wedding dresses on your own or with your team is a personal choice. Some brides enjoy the calm of fitting with only their consultant, others want mom, friends or bridesmaids to join in the fun. If you do bring your team, be prepared for differing opinions! - Booking a fitting
Saturday appointments are most favoured by brides-to-be. Although the store buzzes, this means adhering to the 1,5 hours appointment time. Consider a weekday booking – things are a bit easier and consultants can often spend longer with you. Clever idea!

Imported wedding dresses are mostly available in USA or UK sizing. South African sizes are different – good to know when you start fitting.
While trying on wedding dresses, you will spend time “out of your clothes” so wear gorgeous undies and a well-fitting, strapless bra.
